1st Lesson: The Alphabet
Finally here we are!! Sorry for delay, school was more important, you know~
Italian Language comes frome the same ancient group of languages of French, Spanish, Portuguese and others. We have 21 letters, 5 of which are vowels (those in red).

Recently, Italian has accepted some letters from English Alphabet, such as K, J, W, Y and X, but they're used very rarely.
The pronunciation is vaguely different from English, though is a bit difficult explain the right pronunciation. You'll learn it bit by bit, don't worry =D
Sorry for this fast and little lesson, but you know... it's just to introduce =D Next lesson will be more intensive, with articles, plural, singular and such things =D

Re: 1st Lesson: The Alphabet
Yay! *excited for the first lesson*
Why isn't it used before? And how is it used now in the language?
An opinion from me, what if you also give an example of how to pronounce the alphabet by words in English? Like we can pronounce "g" like in "giraffe", something like that. Just to make things clearer.

Re: 1st Lesson: The Alphabet
Omg, J was from the English alphabet?
At least,in Portuguese we use it a lot,but it is kinda useless
At 90% of the cases it have the same sound as G. but in some cases it is unique...
Coming back to the Italian, please make some examples of the double ZZ use, like in pizza, and some examples of the sound of G, it would be very useful 8D

Re: 1st Lesson: The Alphabet
Wow, thank you so much! I think this will help a lot. I haven't listened to it completely, though. The biggest problem is the small volume of the recording, but it's okay. Thank you so much, Maruko! ^__^
Re: 1st Lesson: The Alphabet
Yea!~ I've been waiting for this. I can already see where I was making pronunciation mistakes especially with the c's.
Side note: Your English is quite good.

Re: 1st Lesson: The Alphabet
Your English is good, true.
Sorry that I could only listen to it now, been very busy. But thank you! Now I can speak the alphabet pretty well. ^__^ A question, though, how do you spell those new alphabets: K, J, W, X, Y? Is it like in English or it's pronounced differently?
