[Other] Shikata Akiko's miscellaneous works

Some of Shikata's other works are not found in any official album she has released. I have found a few of them around the internet, so I'm taking the liberty of uploading them here, since after all they are also songs sung by Shikata herself. Please tell me if this is something that is not allowed, and I will take them down.

First of all, did you know that the song Souheki no Mori in her Raka album is actually not a new song, but a remix? Souheki no Mori first appeared in the SUMMER MIX vol.01 album released in 2006, which Shikata also participated in singing for. The original version features different Italian choruses. Next, in 2008, Shikata wrote lyrics for and sung a song named Turii -Panta rhei-, which was featured in the arcade game beatmania IIDX 16. The song was composed by Zektbach, and was given the genre of "Elemental Chant". Here is the download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1R8JIZ4H

And finally, in 2009 Shikata held a live concert named Harmonia, a few days after the release date of her Harmonia album. Anyone going to the concert had a chance to receive a pamphlet which came with a CD containing three new short tracks that had never been released before. I am terribly sorry, that the Harmonia pamphlet is encoded in Flac + Cue format, I haven't had time to convert it to MP3 and I also cannot find any other download link that has this rare CD in MP3 format.

I actually knew about Summermix and Souherki no Mori remix, but I've never listened to it =D (I'm downloading~)

Turii~Panta Rhei~ is simply beautiful, I fell in love with this song <3

I think that is because it was forbidden to take pictures or record videos in her concerts, and because Japanese people are strict in self-discipline, none of them broke the rules and illegally recorded the concerts.

Yes, I did ^^ I like listening to them back to back and hearing the similarities, and differences.
There's also Raison d être～交差する宿命～.
(I love the Turii -Panta rhei- video especially the dance).

Truth be told, I do not like Raison d'être much. It sounds quite unlike Shikata's traditional style (because it was not composed by Shikata herself), and even though her voice is still beautiful, the melody is in fair disharmony.

Acqua, on the other hand, is truly a beautiful song. I hope it will appear in one of her later albums or singles, so that we would be able to enjoy the song better.

And you were right about it, I was talking about that Harmonia pamphlet CD. I myself find no need for a MP3 version, because I would rather listen to lossless music whenever possible, but others might prefer MP3 format for its smaller file size.

I didn't either at first, but I must admit after listening to it so many times I adore it now, especially the later half of the song beauty

But, I agree with the disharmony. For me it took a little bit of getting use to.
And, agreed on acqua I just wish it was longer, but it's still beautiful.

edit:

acqua.. is beautiful, but not that impressive for me. maybe because it's too short. I'm not very fond of Raison, it feels weird for me too. well, I'll try to listen to it once in a while and see if I can get the hang of the song. and the original Souheki no Mori was... haha~ I'm used to the re-mix song so this one was a bit weird, but not bad. I still prefer the re-mix one, though. ^^

as for the addition, unreleased songs of Harmonia, well, they're too short. too bad. they actually have nice arrangements, I think. ^^
